The Dreaded Lurgey
Started sniffing and sneezing a couple of days ago. Now, it’s progressed into a mild fever with aches and pains, headache, runny nose and so on.
What’s annoying is that I was about to go get my free flu jab as my local surgery started offering it yesterday as a walk-in.
Still Sorting Out Lightroom
I tried to combine photographs in Lightroom Classic with Lightroom Desktop. The reason is that the desktop app syncs across all my devices, including my MacBook, iPad, iPhone and Mac mini. However, the sync was probably too big, and I gave up waiting for it after a month, when Lightroom Desktop on my Mac mini wouldn’t allow me to edit anything at all. I have removed all the sync error files (over 250,000) and am now deleting them. I have the originals on my hard drive. I started this yesterday afternoon, and it’s been several hours already! #lightroom
Simple Formula For Living
Live beneath your means. Return everything you borrow. Stop blaming other people. Admit it when you make mistakes. Give clothes you no longer wear to charity. Do something nice and try not to get caught.
Hospital Appointment
This afternoon, it’s another visit to the hospital for an assessment for the forthcoming thyroid operation. It’s been postponed once, due to me now taking blood thinners following a DVT earlier in the year. Let’s hope we can get this done soon. It’s not life-threatening in any way, but the symptoms are annoying. #medical
Online Shopping
This morning’s order is exciting. Toilet Bowl Descaler, heavy-duty rubber gloves, and a set of optical screwdrivers.
Kindle or Kindle Reader App?
I have a 13 inch M1 iPad Pro, with plenty of storage. I was thinking about buying a new Kindle. A good idea or a waste of money, given that I have the iPad?
Job Done!
I don’t hang about when I finish work. Twenty minutes door to door, including a bus journey and a six minute walk from a further stop than usual. Three days off now.
It’s just after 9 am. I’m never usually in bed this late. Still can’t burn the candle at both ends, and that’s become more so as I’ve gotten older. For me, it’s a working Sunday, which I detest. Anyway, onwards and upwards!
Into The Small Hours
Working late messes up my body clock. I am usually in bed by ten and asleep soon afterwards.
This evening I got home around 11pm, and I am still wide awake after midnight thirty.

More Afternoon Listening
A change of genre now, for Angela Easterling’s 2006 album, Earning Her Wings. Americana at it’s finest from this South Carolinian native. #music
Afternoon Listening
This afternoon, I am listening to the brand new album from Robert Plant, named after the band he has been with for the past six years. Saving Grace.

Lunchtime
A generously filled ham salad roll, with a pint of Shepherd Neame’s 1968 ale to wash it down. #beer #food
Late Night Music Listening
Listening to this album, I can’t believe it’s fifty years old!
Beer & Music. An Excellent Combination.
After a day going from one hospital to another, and grabbing coffees in-between, it was good to get home and chill out. Listening to some tunes now. Volume 10 from the Fabric Collection, to be precise. I’m unable to post a link, as the files are stored locally on my hard drive. Accompaniment provided by a couple of beers. A London Pride (4.7% ABV) and a Shepherd Neame 1698 (6.5% ABV). #beer #music
