I did think about swinging by the local on the way home. I go right past it, you see. It’s the stop before home. I was good, though, and came straight home. Now, I’ve poured a London Pride and am catching up on emails and stuff, sitting at my computer desk.

Another day done. I got home and prepared some dinner. Jacket potatoes in a very slow oven, lamb chops to go in with them later. Had a shower, shave and all that good stuff. I HAVE to get out of work clothes when I get home, or I’m not comfortable.

The simple pleasures of life. Sitting in the pub, with an excellent pint of cask ale, and the sun shining through the windows.

No sooner do I post about an impending delivery than they arrive. So I’ll be busy setting up this new Apple Watch for the next few minutes. I think I’ll have to call EE to get the data plan transferred from my old Series 7 to this one.

My second day off. Back to the salt mine tomorrow. Indoors today, as I’m waiting for a DPD delivery - a new Apple Watch - and I have a telephone appointment with my IBD team this afternoon. At least I don’t need to trek to the hospital.

Day off today. I didn’t wake up until almost six. Been to the kitchen to brew the first mugs of the day. Back to bed for a short while to read and decide what to do today.

So iOS 27 is here. First impressions from this first beta? So far, it seems stable. There’s an enhanced Siri, on certain devices, but there’s a waitlist to join. Transparency in Liquid Glass is easily changed with a slider.

It’s good mood time! 4.30pm. I’m home, at my computer desk with a pint of London Pride, and I have two days off work now.

How do you and your partner see each other?

I remember writing the date in my school book: 6/6/66. There’s been a lot of water under the bridge in those sixty years!
