@stevewfolds I don’t get to nap later because I’m at work until 130. I get home around 2 pm but if I take a nap then even if I can get to sleep then I’ll have trouble sleeping when I go to bed so naps are not something I usually do.

@manton I don’t see myself buying a Duo. Firstly, my 15 PM is still working just fine. The 18PM would give me a slightly better camera (which I don’t often use anyway), and a bump up in general speed and responsiveness. I don’t use my iPhone much as a working device, and I have an M1 iPad Pro.

@manton and now, apparently, we’re going to have the Army Terrorist executed on Live TV. His crime was certainly henious, but where does that end? Back to the middle ages and public executions in the town square?

@stevewfolds We stock up on meat and fish at Costco and then portion it into freezer bags. A big spend but only about every three months, and we think it works out cheaper and find Costco is generally good quality

@manton Has anyone ever survived a hanging? If so, what happened to them? Personally, I’m against the death penalty anyway. It doesn’t bring back the victim, and the whole long drawn out legal procedures delay the closure (for both sides) for decades. Then there are mistakes…

@robertbreen Which Kindle would you recommend?

@robertbreen I had a kindle years ago. However, these days I read on an iPad Pro or even an iPhone in bed if I can’t sleep. Is it worth buying another kindle?

@manton Does that longer time signify a more thorough review by Apple leading to their App Store being less likely to contain any rogue apps than Google’s Play Store?

@pelmasri I don’t see myself getting a folding phone. I just don’t use one for work. I much prefer a device with a proper keyboard.

@manton I generally find Threads quite pleasant to use, and I log in using my Instagram login. I seldom post much in Instagram these days though.

@manton Does that mean that the iOS apps are safer to use than Android ones, due to Apple’s extra vetting?

@stevewfolds My Grandmother used to make something called pork brawn. Basically, a boiled pigs head, with pigs trotters added for the gelatine. One ended up with what was effectively a meat jelly. She added her secret recipe of herbs and spices. It was delicious.

@bencurthoys I have to admit that I have been one of the people who couldn’t see the point of wasps. OK, everything in nature has a point or purpose, but it’s sometimes difficult to see from the human perspective.

@ThatBlairGuy We don’t have an InstaPot. We do have the aforementioned rice cooker, an electric steamer, a pressure cooker, and a slow cooker, though!

@stevewfolds I quit tobacco many years ago now, and I’m so glad I did, both for my personal health and the health of my wallet! Weed is illegal here, but can be obtained, of course, but I work at a job where anyone can be randomly tested for drugs and alcohol, so I can’t have weed.
