As I am off today, and my wife is at work, I’m on dinner duty. We’re having sausages and mash, with peas and onion gravy.

Surprising what you can get done in a short time. In 45 minutes, I’ve instaleld a new CO Detector on the ceiling, and re-installed smoke alarm too. I’ve also put a new motion detector on the wall by the front door. Put out the trash for recycling. Cooked and made bacon sandwiches and more coffee.

It’s 8 am now. I think it’s time for another mug of the brewed bean juice.

It’s Monday morning, 6.30 am. Day off today. About to make a mug of coffee.

That’s it! Four days off now. On the bus going home.

I don’t particularly get excited about Fridays as I often work at the weekend. I have four days off after today, so my mood is a bit lighter this morning. Still, I have a ten hour shift ahead of me yet, before I get to have some time to enjoy stuff.

Thursday Morning. Another blue sky day. Temperatures forecast to be in the low 70’s this afternoon. Another day nearer a four-day break.

I’m drinking coffee and listening to Björk this morning. It’s quiet out there today, but it is still only 7.25 am.

This afternoon, I made my way back to Richmond. I met my wife for a lunchtime coffee ( she’s not got time to order a meal, and she wasn’t hungry). I saw her back into work and then spent the afternoon in the pub opposite editing all the photographs I had taken, and enjoying a couple of beers.
