A Wordpress-based site gave me the dreaded 500 Internal Server Error upon checking this morning. A half hour in the cPanel file manager and WP dashboard rectified it.

Having a quiet day at home today. Brother has departed for the airport and a flight home. Just my wife and I sitting here with the radio on, for a change, while I catch up on some journaling. I’m cooking a roast Lamb dinner later this afternoon.

The heating only came on for a short while this morning, and I’m now sitting here with windows open through the house. Spring is definitely here.

I like to have a clock on the wall in each room of the house, even though I have an Apple Watch on and carry a phone around in my pocket. Anyone else like me?

Gardening?

Did I do any? Well, I took the garden waste brown bin back into the garden. I moved the bags of compost from the front yard to the back yard. I didn’t do anything else. I’m a wimp and it’s too cold. I’ll get out there at the end of next week, and get the potatoes planted though.

Another Blog

I linked another blog to micro.blog today. It’s a self-hosted domain rather than one, like this, that I purchased through Micro.Blog itself. I had a little jiggery-pokers getting the DNS to propagate and play nicely, but once it settled down it was fine. You can find it at ianbmay.com. I’ll be a bit more political over there, but not a ranting nutcase (I hope). Here, I like to be laid back as much as possible. I’ve linked the other blog to Bluesky, whereas this one links to Mastadon.

Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder?

Probably not in this case, but I’ve just been getting up very early in the mornings for work and consequently feeling too drained in the afternoons to put fingers to keyboard very much! I haven’t gone away though.

I didn’t have any plans when I got up. However, I’ve been to the corner store for bread, and to Costco for meat and fish, and now to the local pub for a couple of pints and some buffalo wings.

I’ve had the painters in these past ten days. Today he was here but went home around 2 pm. It is Saturday after all! I’ve walked to my local for a couple of pints of Fuller’s ESB, and I’m waiting for my wife to join me, perhaps with a couple of her friends too. I’m not complaining, but that, folks, is an exciting Saturday evening out for me these days.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Been awake since soon after 6 am. Slept well, though, which makes a whole lot of difference to how you feel first thing. Enjoying a large mug of coffee right now.
