2025
Starting the day off with some photo editing (and coffee, of course!), from yesterday’s short photowalk from Paddington to Kensington

Went to five guys for food. I’m not a fast food fan at the best of times but they’re better than other chains. Expensive though! Bacon cheeseburger, fries and a Corona was just under £25, for one!
The Lizzie Line seems to be running well this afternoon. Just missed a train but only waited three minutes for the next one and not overloaded either.
For playing music, my default player is Pine Player Pro. However, one thing is missing that Elmedia Player has, and that is native DLNA capability. Elmedia has one thing missing, and that is DSD playback. #audio
Listening to a bit of old-time mellow jazz this morning. Anita O’Day. In glorious mono too. It’s still a fine recording. #music
It’s still officially summer for a few more days, but, except for the temperature, it feels like a winter day out there. Overcast, damp, dreary, windy, unwelcoming. I already miss the sunshine. I think I suffer from S.A.D.
I’m in a strange mood today, Kind of down, but also relaxed at the same time. I’ve got really tired of all the social media noise these past few days, and I am consuming more than usual as I am off work, and working on my home computer, so I have more opportunity to see all the bullshit out there.
Silly me! Concerning my previous post about Apple upgrades, I should have mentioned I am referring to the various operating systems, NOT hardware. I certainly do not upgrade every time a new product comes out!
I’m not intending to upgrade either iPhones or Apple Watches this year. #apple
Slightly warmer in my house today. The thermostat says 20.5°C (69°F), so no need for any heating again.
This morning’s listening is a bit left field… tidal.com/browse/ar…
The Apple upgrades get crazy here (especially when you go the beta route too). I’ve got a total of ten devices each time!
A nice break from work now until the 27th. I’ve got a few tasks to get done, both computer-related and around the house. First, though, it’s time for a big mug of joe.
Well, that’s another working day done. I wasn’t looking forward to getting up at 5.30 am, nor am I looking forward to getting up at 5 am tomorrow, but I did volunteer, and it’s 17 hours over time, which will come in handy at the end of next week.
