Almost 6am on Saturday morning. The first of nine days off. Nothing concrete planned, let’s see what the day brings.
It’s another pleasant sunny morning. I’m enjoying a coffee on my break. In just over three hours, I’ll be done until the 30th.
There was a a nice sunrise, but it was quite chilly. It’s warmed up somewhat since then though.
Just two working days to go, including today. From Saturday, I have a nine-day break, which is always welcome.
The weather is getting more spring-like, and if it keeps up, I can get some digging and planting done in the garden.
A cloudy morning turned into a beautiful spring like afternoon. After a routine dental check up, I went out for a photo walk. Had a very pleasant walk from Hammersmith to Barnes along the river. Then a bus into Richmond and a beer or two in a riverside pub. Life is good.
I’m on my second mug of coffee now, which will help wash down the plate of bacon sarnies that I just made (and ate).
I’ve had a mug of coffee, and it’s time to get another one. I’m sitting at my desk now, listening to some Bob Dylan on Tidal.
Here’s the link if you’re a Tidal user and like Dylan. tidal.com/album/126…

I have to go to work this afternoon. However, this morning, I’ve been doing a little exercise (my wife bought a step, a simple device but one that raises heart-rate). I can be a desk potato at home, and I sit down at work, so movement is good.
I found an old diary, from 1980. That’s literally half a lifetime ago. The entries are quite sparse, but I can recall some of the reasons for some of my actions back then. With reflection, I would have made some different choices. Not that I am unhappy with where I am now, but how one’s interests, and likes and dislikes change over almost a half century.
The weather has stayed bright and sunny all day, which is nice. It’s a shame that I’m working until 10.30 this evening, so I can’t really enjoy it. Mind you, I’m writing this at 4.45 pm, so in another hour the sun will be almost gone.
