I’ve got up late as I didn’t get to sleep until 3 am. I’ve watered the veggie patch though. Pain in the butt with a watering can too.

Been into the garden and watered the veggies. It’s a pain in the backside with a watering can, but we haven’t had any rain for a while, and the useless water companies haven’t invested in any additional reservoirs, just pocketed the profits instead.

Coffee inspires me to do things. It’s like this. I got up from my desk and went to the kitchen to make coffee. I looked out of the window at the garden. I then went into the garden, weeded the veg patch, spot-watered what needed watering, and cleaned out the paddling pool. THEN I got coffee.

Planted out savoy cabbage seedlings this morning.

The sun moved around. The patio is no longer in the shade. I came inside the house. I took a shower (I was gardening earlier anyway). I made lemon balm tea as we have a ton of it in the. garden. I’m in the front room, which is now away from the sun. IT’s 86°F (30°C) in here, certainly warm!

I had purchased some Brussels sprout plants earlier in the week, and I got those planted out too. There’s just ten of them, but as I’m the only one that eats sprouts, there will be plenty and a bunch to freeze too.

I got up and went straight into the garden. I didn’t even stop to make coffee! I got everything watered that needed it, while it is still cool and while it’s still mostly shady until the sun comes around later in the morning.

Slept well for once. Didn’t wake up until after seven, which is rare. It’s already warm outside and I’ve some planting to get done before the heat of the afternoon.

I just got an email to pre-order my Christmas potatoes. As it’s first come, first served, I put in the order. They’ll be here the first or second week of July. They were quite successful last year, and you can’t beat homegrown.

It’s a warm sunny day here. It’s already 77°F (26°C) at 11 am. I’ve been outside and mown the lawn a little while back before it got too warm, but still worked up a sweat and had to take another shower!
