An early lunch before we go to Ealing Beer Festival.

Home made chips, grilled pork ribs, lettuce

We are going to have brill for tea, with a side salad

It’s a lovely, pleasant Sunday here. Meeting friends at my local in an hour or so for a Sunday Roast.

I was awake around six. I saw my wife off to work, and then made coffee and checked emails. I then did some hoeing and weeding in the vegetable patch, and watered everything that needed a drop. Now I’m cooking some sausages to make a sandwich for breakfast, with more coffee, of course.

So I’m now cooking ribs on the George Foreman ala Keith Floyd style. That is, with a large glass of Picpoul de Pinet…

We’re making dinners for a few days. Pork Adobo, Chicken Curry, and Beef Casserole. Today I’m about to grill some pork ribs on the George Foreman, which will be served with new potatoes I had to scrape, steamed broccoli, and some chilled white wine to wash it down.

I’ve just seasoned and seared some short beef ribs, wrapped them in foil with some garlic, onions, and chimichurri, and put them in a slow oven for 4.5 hours. That gives me time to go and have a lunchtime pint at the local.
