Was awake at six. Went out with my wife. She went to work. I went to hospital for a blood test. Then a bus to a coffee shop. Priorities! Then another bus to Costco. Waiting outside for them to open at 10:00.
I got in from work at 2.15 pm. I watered the garden, made a lamb stew from scratch, cleaned the kitchen, put all the rubbish out for the dustmen tomorrow, took a shower, and paid some bills. THEN I opened a beer and sat down. It was 3.25 pm. You can get a lot done when you put your mind to it.
Back to the salt mine tomorrow. It’s been a pleasant break. My wife is working today, and I’m having a quiet day indoors by myself. She’s going out with a friend after work, so I don’t need to make dinner.
Get Palantir out of the NHS.
My back garden faces south west. I shall go and sit in the sunshine this afternoon and enjoy a cool beer and the glorious weather.
I don’t bother with regular supermarkets, but a little later this morning I’m going to take a trip to Costco and stock up on some meat and fish. I should be there and back within the hour. I get in, get what I want and go. I’m a reluctant shopper at the best of times!
This morning’s listening:
Astralasia - Whatever Happened to Utopia?

Chillin’ with some tunes this afternoon. Email housekeeping. Cleared out the garage, now clearing out the inboxes. Checking through Bandcamp, Juno Download, and Roon for new music.
It’s a glorious Friday. The temperature is climbing, and there’s not a cloud in the sky right now. I’ve at last got a man with a van to clear all the junk that’s been amassing in my front yard and garage for much too long.
Within twenty minutes, my wife has told me I’m awesome and hopeless. Good thing I’m not a thin skinned MAGA/Reform supporter, eh?
