2026
Day off today. I’ve done some journaling, and now I’m working on post-processing photos from yesterday’s Spring Gathering at Brooklands. The urge to indulge in my mistress keeps interrupting me, though. She’s very demanding. I’m already on my third. I’ve added a photo of her.
The 3.45 am alarm is brutal, but I was home from work at 1 pm. I’m now chilling with some journaling, some meditation, some reading, some music, and now a beer.
I got the rest of the seed potatoes into grow bags. I have four types so we shall see how they do. I’ve also planted garlic, and marrow.
I’ve sown more seeds too. Runner Beans, Peas, Chilli Peppers, and various herbs. I’ve also planted out some herbs that are already grown.
It’s Friday, and I’ve got a busy weekend ahead. Working on Saturday, outing on Sunday. Then a day off on Monday!
I spend much of my downtime listening to music. I have long moved away from Spotify. These days, I prefer Qobuz and Roon, and I discover a lot of music that way. My main genres are jazz and electronic. Right now, I’m trying out Maestro, a new music app from Paul McGowan of PS Audio.
Much as I’m not a huge fan of a 3.50 am alarm, it’s nice to be going home from work at one in the afternoon.
I use Roon as part of my music listening experience. Today, however, I have downloaded PS Audio’s Maestro, and I’m giving it a free trial. Let’s see how it goes. So far, so good. It’s playing nicely with my Mac, my DAC, and my Denon AVR.
